The Neuro-AFib Coalition is a multi-site collaboration among neurologists, cardiologists, and other researchers interested in research related to atrial fibrillation and stroke prevention. We are interested in understanding the causes and mechanisms of ischemic strokes and intracerebral hemorrhages in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients. We are collecting data and building infrastructure to facilitate investigations to improve stroke prevention and reduce cognitive impairment in NVAF patients. This website contains basic study information, educational materials, and updates on news and information related to NVAF-related stroke prevention.
Talk to your neurologist or primary care provider to learn more about atrial fibrillation and stroke risk.
